Recently, I’ve been trying to explore my hand in theatre and performance but since I wasn’t studying it at all, it was kind of difficult to start anywhere. My best bet was to start out as stage crew and try out auditions as they come.
I was asking around for vacancies and Liyana (thank you love) gave me the link for an open call audition with Teater Ekamatra and praise the high heavens, I GOT IT!!
Here’s Ekamatra’s Facebook link, and the weird thing was out of the many people that auditioned, my brother got a part too!.. As my boyfriend. Geez.
I am ecstatic because I now have something really productive to occupy my time with, whilst sustaining an allowance with my current waitress job (Kind of a cliché innit, this waitress/actress thing).
I am taking the year off indefinitely, and hopefully work more with Teater Ekamatra after this!
